Two Chefs Are Better Than One is a catering company located at 105 Mammoth Rd in Lowell, MA. The owners bought an existing breakfast and lunch restaurant with a small catering side business. Six years later is a popular, thriving and successful catering company.

We asked Daniel McCarthy, president of Two Chefs to describe the work we did in the past six years, and how our work has affected them and the business.

Mr. McCarthy writes…“My partner and I originally contacted you in August of 2000 to help us create an upbeat looking restaurant for a seating capacity of 48 people. We were also hoping to get a quick return on our investment.”

Within a short time you brought two schemes for us to select, using colors and textures that delighted and surprised us, based on our personal needs and using your tested criteria. We selected one of them and trusted your judgment given your credentials and recommendations. We surprised you, when we told you that after all we could not purchase new furniture, but must use what was left over from the former owners. The stuff did not really fit into any of the presented schemes. You were unruffled. We were nervous, but again, trusted you. You did not disappoint us. You incorporated our selected scheme by creating two huge paintings custom-made for us, and additional touches that contributed to an environment that never made us feel poor. In fact, nobody ever noticed that we had the same old booths and seats!!!

Within a year the restaurant surpassed our wildest dreams. The staff and patrons loved it and we even had to hire an additional chef because catering began to grow faster than we anticipated. A year later we called you in for a consultation because we were considering selling the restaurant and moving to concentrate on growing the catering business. A few weeks after your visit it was clear that we needed to stay were we were to grow the catering business and forgo the restaurant. I must confess I was ecstatic, while Steve, my partner was rather apprehensive. You were again proven correct. It worked perfectly. Our staff and patrons supported us and continue to do so today. In fiscal year 2005 we have grossed more than anyone ever imagined. We have taken a new junior partner and have 2 additional full-time chefs; support staff, waiters and office personnel to assure us continued growth. We have a respected name and a wonderful roster of choice clients.

In closing, we love working with you and recommend you for several reasons:

1. You kept us sane and hopeful in our first business venture.
2. You incorporated our suggestions but guided us when we were moving toward a possible wrong choice for our needs. You still do it.
3. You helped our old furniture and space look brand new. We felt proud to show it off. When the catering business took over, you gave us new insight and fresh ideas. We always questioned you. Even now. Yet you respond with grace and reassurance.
4. You gave us tools to maintain and promote harmony among staff and clients.

The results speak for themselves. We love to work here, we got a great return on our investment, we are successful and we are always grateful for your help.”

Sincerely,
Daniel G. McCarthy
President
